The resort has 900 rooms in 5 different buildings, each with their own rooftop pool/bar. Each of the buildings, the restaurants and property are loaded with Mexican history and artwork
My husband and I were upgraded to the Artistas Oceanfront room which had a few extra perks. While the resort is so huge, it did take a few days to figure it out. The first day of arrival, Mercado Sunday Brunch was unlike any brunch/buffet I've ever experienced, they had everything imaginable and completely delicious.
We visited Xenses, a park filled with illusions, we walked through the town where nothing makes sense, total disorientation, walking up hill with the river water flowing up hill as well., just crazy! All of it very bizarre, but fun.
Xcaret Park was beautiful, the beautiful birds, butterflies, animals and aquariums, lots of walking
Xel-Ha Park is near Tulum and was part of the Tulum Ruins tour we took. Huge water park with ziplines, water slides, different species of land and sea animals.
I must make note that there are a few paid extra excursions if you choose to purchase tickets at the parks.
Yes, this was quite the memorable vacation that will not soon be forgotten. I so highly recommend, just for the experiences alone, and especially if you want to participate all the parks and excursions they offer. Contact me for pricing and keep in mind that even if you're staying at other resorts, anyone can take the excursions, but would have to pay the entrance fees.
